Abstract.
The present article is an attempt to consider the elements of the artistic style of the medieval poetic text by applying a procedural approach. The analysis is conducted by the material of words-symbols, considered as the leading sign of the artistic style of the Middle Ages, which gains a special significance in the text poetic environment. The corpus of examples is selected from one of the most representative monuments of the medieval English alliterative poetry - the work “The Pearl”.
