Abstract.
The article examines the specifics of studying romantic lyrics of M. Y. Lermontov by the foreign students (by the example of the poem “The Sail”). Informational material helps foreigners to penetrate deeper into the sphere of specific features of the creative consciousness of the Russian literary artist, to become familiar with the foundations of national culture and Russian language.
