Abstract. In the article the strategies and tactics of the current US president Barack Obama by the example of his public appearances during his re-election for the second presidential term are considered and analyzed. The author comes to conclusion that the election campaign of Barack Obama in 2012 was successful owing to the use of argumentation and self-presentation strategy.
