PROBLEM OF POLY-GENRE NATURE IN “THE HUNTING SKETCHES” BY I. S. TURGENEV

Abstract.
The article considers the problem of poly-genre nature in “The Hunting Sketches” by I. S. Turgenev. The author touches upon the genre nature of the cycle, and determines the interaction between a literary essay, a short story and a tale. Special attention is paid to the fact that the genre of “sketches” allows including other genre formations: a lyric poem, writer’s sketches. The author concludes that the “The Hunting Sketches” is a kind of the system of interacting genre formations in their inner connection with poly-genre nature of the constituent texts.
