Abstract. In the article the experience of work with distance education platform aimed at the acquisition of skills necessary for writing scientific articles is analyzed. This platform is presented by the University of Southampton and it is an interactive resource for a self-guided work of students, undergraduates and postgraduate students of higher educational establishments to gain knowledge and acquire skills of academic language.
