Abstract.
The article undertakes an attempt to determine the nature of the phenomenon of historical parable as a special genre. By the example of the play-parable “Theatre in the time of Nero and Seneca” by" Ed. Radzinsky the merging of plots of world literature and mythology is considered. In the parable, which Radzinsky forms up, you can see the author’s attempts of myth-making, as well as the way how the world Truth is perceived by the protagonists of the play.
