Abstract. The article presents the results of the linguo-culturological research of gender marked paroemias in the English language. The authors reveal the formal characteristics of paroemias, including their composition, determine high frequency and mid frequency components, consider the largest thematic categories of significant lexemes forming the corpus of the English paroemias with gender semantics. The authors pay special attention to the modelling of paroemias semantics. The revealed models allow explicating the cognitive linguo-culturological message, contained in paroemias.
