Abstract.
The article is devoted to the system analysis of linguoculturological peculiarities of non-anthroponymic (descriptive) models of characters’ naming in “Tales of the Don” and the novel “Virgin Soil Upturned” by M. A. Sholokhov. The anthroponymic space of the literary works under the research are indicative of the reality of Sholokhov’s poetic anthroponymicon and value of his literary works as sources of studying the Don anthroponymy at the beginning of the XX century.
