Abstract.
The article examines the problem of functioning of an image of a summer cottage in the Russian poetry. In this connection the authors investigate the originality of a spatio-temporal characteristic of a summer cottage, analyze the specifics of country realities, symbols, motives. Relying on the analysis the authors conclude that the similarity of subject-thematic schemes, stable range of images and motives, symbolic and metaphorical complex are integrated by the poets of the XIX - beginning of the XX century into the special countryside mythologeme.
