Abstract.
The article is devoted to the one of the basic problems of the modern Humanities - the influence of the language on the formation of ethnocultural identity of a subject. The author identifies a number of linguistic phenomena, including paralanguage, phonation, interference which immediately form this type of identity. The special attention is paid to the phenomenon of bilingualism and its role in the formation of ethnocultural identity. The author concludes that preserving linguistic originality is a background for further development of a dialogue of cultures and extension of cultural space and, at the same time, it promotes the formation of ethnocultural identification of each of the subjects and nation on the whole.
