THE IDEOLOGICAL-THEMATIC ORIGINALITY OF IAN MCEWAN’S FLASH FICTION

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the early stage of creativity of the modern English writer I. McEwan. The attempt to ground the importance of flash fiction for the writer's creativity is made. Much attention is paid to the thematic content of the storybooks. The main images, plots, motives of the stories are identified. On the basis of the complex analysis of the storybooks the author determines the worldview peculiar to the writer at this stage of creativity.
