SELF-PRESENTATION OF LINGUISTIC PERSONALITY BY THE EXAMPLE OF MEMOIRS AND LETTERS OF NICHOLAS I ROMANOV

Abstract.
The article considers the self-presentation as a means of psychological influence on the audience (recipient) and the linguistic expression of this process, conducts the analysis of the memoirs and letters of the Russian Emperor of the XIX century Nicholas I Romanov, and determines which methods of self-presentation were used by the emperor and which ones influenced the creation of his linguistic personality image. It is concluded that in the memoirs and letters of Nicholas I the self-presenter not always created a good impression, but always ⎼ a desired image from an individual or a group of individuals.
