REFLECTION OF NAMINGS OF HEAVENLY BODIES IN THE BASHKIR PERSONAL NAMES

Abstract. The article examines the Bashkir personal names with a component-naming of heavenly bodies. The originally Bashkir and borrowed strata in such names are revealed, the motivation of calling babies by the name of this or that heavenly body is ascertained. The cult of the sky, the sun, the moon and stars among the Bashkir is considered to be the reason for appearance of names connected with the heavenly bodies. The studies show that the naming of the heavenly bodies in the Bashkir language is an integral part of anthroponymy.
