Abstract.
The article is devoted to the study of the semantics of word-formative meanings of adjective suffixes in the English and Turkish languages. As the basis of semantic research of adjectives suffixes the following parameters have been taken: 1) the adjective suffixes with direct / figurative meaning of components; 2) possible options of combinatorics of the onomasiological basis and onomasiological feature. The received data have allowed establishing the universal and differential properties of the semantics of adjectives suffixes of the studied two languages.
