Abstract. The article deals with the issue of modeling the family of cognate derivatives of different parts of speech from nouns as a certain phenomenon of word-formative system of the Lezgian language, namely the issues of the identity of the word and word-formative relations of cognate words. The indirect relation of meanings typical for the semantic structure of derivatives allows speaking about word-formative polysemy.
