THE PECULIARITIES OF THE USE OF ENGLISH PHRASAL VERBS IN ECONOMIC DISCOURSE

Abstract.
In the article the specificity of the use and understanding of phrasal verbs in the economic context is considered. Phrasal verbs are widespread in the spoken English language. The majority of such verbs as, for example, deal with, set up and others are inherent in the language of economics. This is due to the fact that many phrasal verbs have changed their “face” over time and have acquired the new meanings and lost the old ones. The author concludes that semantic and conceptual characteristics of phrasal verbs and their terminological status require the further in-depth and comprehensive study.
