Abstract. The article is devoted to the question of situational variability in different communicative registers. On the basis of the analysis of the examples from contemporary English situations of the intercourse the specificity of realization of a motive intention depending on the register and speech situation is revealed. The main intention of a communicant is the achievement of a necessary result for him/her; the strategy of an incentive is that of a domineering one. The statement is substantiated that in each situation a specific set of linguistic features, registers for it is used.
