THE DERIVED WORDS WITH THE COMPONENT СУҒ / ‘WATER’ IN THE KHAKASS LANGUAGE

Abstract.
The article deals with the word-formative peculiarities of the derived units with the productive component суғ / ‘water’ in the Khakas language. The affixal derivatives with this component, the semantics of which depends on the meaning of the affix, are considered. The compound words reflect the conceivable connections between the named objects and water, representing the results of the experience of the world classification by the Khakass people. The idea of the Khakas of the homeland which is reflected in the paired words with the component суғ is specific.
