“MARINE” THEMES IN KONSTANTIN ROMANOV’S POETRY

Abstract.
The article is devoted to studying the “marine” themes in K. R.’s (Grand Duke Konstantin Romanov) lyrical poetry represented in the landscape poems of the “Along the Shore” cycle. “Marine” poems of the poet are examined in the light of the modern conceptions of artistic cyclization, relevant for the poetry of the end of the XIX - beginning of the XX century; the paper analyzes the spatio-temporal, ideological-thematic and imaginative structures of the “Along the Shore” cycle’s most valuable poems in which the image of sea becomes the story-formative. Literary context of the research is formed basically by Konstantin Romanov’s early lyrics (1883-1887) representing the peculiarities of symbolic, philosophical, religious implementation of the concepts “sea” and “life” in the poet’s creative work.
