Abstract.
The topical problem of a contemporary speech study is examined in the article - the manifestation of speech aggression in a compliment. The analysis of a content aspect of the compliment allows saying about the expression not only of a positive assessment of physical and moral qualities of an addressee, but also about frequent cases of manifestation the speech aggression in the form of hostility, negative attitude to an interlocutor in it.
