Abstract.
The article is devoted to the analysis of the Bashkir historical novels from the standpoint of the portrayal of a hero and antihero (a protagonist and an antagonist), that defines the specificity of a literary conflict of the works. The object of the study is the novels of the last decades. It is “Taftileu” by G. Khisamov, “The Melody of Steppe” by Khakimov, “The Rebellious Gyrfalcon” by R. Baimov, “The Bloody 1955” by G. Khusainov, “The Black Horse” by Z. Uraksin. It is noted that a developed antithesis forms the basis of the composition of works, contributing to the display of opposition of various social forces, the most complete characteristic of the main character. The scale of his/her personality allows the writers to re-create the peculiarities of the depicting epoch, to describe the disposition of the warring parties.
