Abstract.
In the article the topical issues of the linguistic situation in Spain are considered. In some regions of the country the situation of bilingualism, in which according to the Constitution the official language is not only Castilian but also local languages / dialects, has arisen. In the regions the official languages have different functions and are used in various fields of communication. However, the contacts of Castilian with other languages have led to the fact that the Castilian language in these areas has acquired a number of non-characteristic features for it.
