Abstract.
The article deals with the themes of the modern German literary fairy tale in the context of its linguistic execution. By the example of a few contemporary German literary tales the author reveals the possible topics and verbal means of their expression, which can contribute to a deeper understanding of the German worldview as well as of the issues typical of Germany after 1945.
