Abstract. In this article the authors compare some pronouns in the English, Russian and Karachay-Balkar languages. Language is the most effective means of preserving and forming our spiritual and material heritage. Comparing and contrasting objects, events, circumstances, a man perceives their qualities, determines the relationship of similarity and difference between them, gives them an appropriate definition and that finds a reflection in different languages.
