Abstract.
The article examines the basic cyclization principles of the English novel of the period after the Second World War. The author identifies the following ones: integrity of problematics, motive structure, identity of story conflicts, framing, epigraph, intertextuality. Each cycle-formative device is illustrated by the concrete examples from the novelistic cycles of such acknowledged small genre experts as J. Fowles, A. S. Byatt, J. Barnes, et al.
