Abstract.
The article is devoted to analyzing the communicative peculiarities of laudatory discourse in the laudatory speech genre by the material of the German language. Studying the linguo-pragmatic means used by the modern laudators allowed understanding the logic of linguistic filling of a praise and commendation of the mentioned genre of a ritualized epideictic institutional communication.
