CLASSIFYING THE VERBS-NEOLOGISMS OF THE MODERN FRENCH LANGUAGE

Abstract.
The article aims to study and classify the verbs-neologisms of the modern French language. The following criteria form the basis of the proposed classification: the thematic attribution of a new word, the morphological criterion, the criterion of the lexico-semantic attribution of the productive basis. The neologisms identified by the continuous sampling method in the print and electronic media of the French-speaking countries, over 500 units totally, served as the material for the research. The subject area “Politics” as one of the most productive ones is analyzed in detail.
