INVENTIVE ASPECTS OF SOCIAL FANTASY

Abstract.
The article is devoted to one of the most popular fantasy genres - social fantasy. Relying on the discursive analysis of the English social fantasy of different periods, identifying the micro-contexts, within which fantastic concepts are realized, the author concludes that social fantasy is a sub-genre of science fiction.
