Abstract.
The article discusses the syntactic and semantic peculiarities of affixing functioning on the basis of literary texts. Affixing is interpreted as a universal unit of language because it is inherent in many languages. The means of emphasizing the affixing component are the logical stress, intonation and punctuation marks.
