Abstract.
The article is devoted to the epos of the Evens, one of the small in number peoples of the North. A heroic nimkan is known as the most archaic tale. The authors’ aim is to identify the peculiarities of the Even epos, the main motive of the heroic legend of the Evens that forms the basis of the artistic content of heroic tales, and reveals the plotline of the epic work. The authors also focus on the special markings of the plots. The article is written on the basis of the previously published text in the collection “Epos of the Okhotsk Evens”.
