Abstract.
The article deals with the topical area of linguistic studies - social dialectology. The objective of the work is to consider theoretical prerequisites of the study of the social dialect of beauty bloggers in the framework of a notional apparatus of sociolinguistics. Special attention is paid to the interpretations of the notions of “video blog” and “beauty vlog” and to the revealing of situational and communicative parameters of functioning of this kind of virtual mass communication, and also the main direction of the research in the examination of the sociolect of beauty bloggers in the context of sociolinguistic variety of the English language is defined.
