Abstract.
The article is devoted to the study of the structure of the English multicomponent terms of the building sphere. The paper identifies the main types of terminological word-combinations, determines their structural models, and considers their component composition; the conclusion is made about the reasons of the increase in the number of multicomponent terms and their significance in the contemporary special systems of terminology.
