Abstract.
The article deals with repetition as an expressive means, which reveals itself at different levels of the language. The study is carried out on the basis of the material of contemporary Spanish political discourse. The objective is to examine the phenomenon of repetition and its role in creating a rhythm of the texts of the public speeches of the party “Podemos”. The functioning of repetitions in the texts is represented by examples from the corpus of the study. According to the analysis results the author gives a characteristic of repetition as one of the important means of the expression of authorial intention and the creation of the rhythm of the text.
