Abstract.
The article deals with the problems of the effective interaction of educational and production processes within the framework of the methodology of competitive designing. Particular attention is paid to the methodology of the harmonization of theoretical knowledge, students-designers’ creative thinking and the needs of modern industry. On the basis of the experience of the Ural school of design on projecting the authors substantiate the necessity of the wide-scale introduction of the real project requirements into educational process and the evaluation of the results by the representatives of business and industrial community.
