THE ROLE OF SEMANTIC ASSOCIATION WHILE PERCEIVING THE STRUCTURAL ORGANIZATION OF A TEXT (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE)

Abstract.
The article is devoted to studying the perception of a text as a self-organizing structure. The study aims to identify the scales to perceive the lexemes with different semantic associations in relation to the positional text samples. The paper presents a description of an ascertaining psycholinguistic experiment and analyzes in detail the experimental data. Relying on the findings the author identifies the tendency when perceiving the structural organization of a text by the native speakers of English and it is considered as the scientific originality of the research.
