PUSHKIN’S REMINISCENCES IN THE STORY BY S. T. SLAVUTINSKII “MY GRANDFATHER’S STORY”

Abstract.
The article compares the works by A. S. Pushkin “Dubrovsky” and S. T. Slavutinskii “My Grandfather’s Story” the prototype of one of the main characters of which became the landowner L. D. Izmailov. The author analyzes the similar story-lines, the peculiarities of conflict development, main personage images. The paper concludes that Ryazan writer used A. S. Pushkin’s novel as a plot basis but he emphasized the social problems of inequality and injustice which, to his opinion, are the most destructive for the society.
