Abstract.
The article considers the features of students’ cognitive activity in using the corpus-based linguistics resources when reproducing the meaning of idiomatic speech units of the source text by means of the target language. By the example of tasks of a problematic nature, providing interrelated operation with the cognitive and creative resources of learners’ language consciousness, it is shown that the electronic corpus can be effectively used when searching for an adequate translation solution.
