Abstract. The article substantiates the necessity to develop the methodology of teaching the Russian vocabulary in the conditions of bilingual education. The presentation of the Russian vocabulary in the Kabardian and Circassian schools is impossible without a differentiated approach to the vocabulary, based on the vocabulary comparison of the Russian language with the Kabardian language. The authors identify some similarities and differences in the vocabulary and phraseology of the compared languages.
