THE FUNCTIONS OF METATEXT IN THE NOVEL “THE MASTER AND MARGARITA”

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the topical issue of metatext in the text. It was noted earlier that metatext performs an organizational role in the text. An analysis of the novel “The Master and Margarita” showed various functions of metatext. The author reveals the peculiarities of the organization of metatext functions, the task of which is not only the composition organization of the text, but also the author’s manipulation of the reader’s attention.
