Abstract.
The semantic development is divided into stable and optional. The stable level is realized in the case when the translator resorts to the forms fixed in dictionaries or grammars. The optional level is implemented not on the basis of lexical correspondences, but in connection with the context. When translating excursion texts the optional semantic development is the most widely used because of the asymmetry of the language worldviews.
