Abstract.
The article analyzes the representation of enemy’s image in the linguistic consciousness of the urban Yakuts, who consider the Russian language the primary or the only language of communication, as well as the Yakuts living in rural areas, who consider their native language the primary language of communication. The Yakuts linguistic consciousness is analyzed by the material of free associative experiment. The obtained associative fields are viewed as a representation of the images of the Yakuts’ consciousness, expressed in the form of verbal associations. The research materials can be used in interlingual and cross-cultural studies.
