Abstract.
This article discusses an issue of courage that is raised in the novel. The object of the research is the novel that reveals the ideological-artistic singularity. Much attention is paid to human relationships, contemporaries. It is noted that the creation of a specific national colour becomes an important component in the plot-compositional structure of the novel. In the novel by Kh. Ashinov by means of legends, ancient tales, reinterpreting them through his vision of the world, the character begins to understand his place in the society, to talk and think at the same time about the past and the present. It is concluded that the national phenomena in Ashinov’s novel perform primarily artistic-aesthetic functions: emotional-expressive and plot-forming.
