ANALYSIS OF USAGE OF PROPER NAME ALLUSIONS 歇后语 XIEHOUYU BY THE MATERIAL OF THE CLASSICAL CHINESE NOVEL “JOURNEY TO THE WEST “

Abstract.
The article analyzes the usage of Chinese 歇后语 xiehouyu allusions with a proper name Sun Wukong from the classical novel by Wu Cheng'en “Journey to the West”. The author emphasizes the fact that xiehouyu in the Chinese language clearly represent allusion’s images by the proper name. The study shows that these images have the emotional-expressive colour, moreover, an allusion is a witty remark and its use imparts appropriate emotional tune to the speech.
