ANTINOMIES OF EXPRESSION AND STANDARD IN THE FRENCH MILITARY MEN’S SPEECH

Abstract.
This article is devoted to the comparative cognitive study of the antinomy of expression and standard in the French military men’s official and unofficial (informal) communication. It is noted that the penetration of the elements of speech standard, regulated by the norms and rules of military service, into the military men’s speech gives it a certain stylistic singularity, and the antinomy of standard and expression determines the specificity of the military men’s speech. Hypothetically it can be assumed that this antinomy of standard and expression may be typical of other foreign armies, although in this case it will have the characteristic imprint of certain relevant linguistic forms.
