Abstract.
The article considers the peculiarities of the lexeme “work” and its derivatives in the texts of N. A. Nekrasov. The emotional potential of these lexemes is analyzed. The pragmatic goals and values of the writer are identified. The author examines the semantic richness of the lexeme “work”, as well as the possibilities of its extension, addition, and transformation in the lexical-semantic space of the text.
