Abstract.
This article discusses the problems associated with the need of enhancing students’ ethical education and general cultural competence in the educational process in higher education institutions. The article shows that the relevance of the problem is stipulated by the new stage in the development of vocational education aimed at the qualitative change of approaches to the determination of its content, namely the strengthening of professional-ethical orientation in the training of professionals who are able to work in the current situation of the changing society.
