LINGUO-CULTUROLOGICAL CORRELATION OF LEXICAL-THEMATIC GROUP “FOOTBALL REFEREES” IN THE ENGLISH AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES

Abstract.
The article analyzes a special lexical-thematic group of football terminological system “football referees” in the English and Russian languages. The author concludes that there is a strict differentiation of lexical units within terminological system in the native language of the people who developed the terminology of this particular sphere. This differentiation is conditioned by linguo-culturological peculiarities of translating sport vocabulary from English into Russian.
