THE FEATURES OF DESIGNING AN EFFECTIVE LECTURE DISCOURSE

Abstract. The article describes a lecture discourse as one of the genres of an academic one, the effectiveness of which is determined by the comprehensibility of information, the ability of the lecturer to interest a target audience. The author presents an analysis of the Russian and English discursive means used by well-known linguists while delivering lectures. It is concluded that an effective lecture discourse is constructed, in the first place, using multi-functional tools of dialogicality and communicative behaviour of the lecturer.
