Abstract.
The article reveals the essence of the notion “literacy” in the context of the development of the modern society, emphasizes its polysemy. The role of tourism literacy in the modern society is discussed. It is stated that it can be formed in the lessons of a foreign language through the use of travel videoblogs. Their functions in the educational process are identified.
