LINGUISTIC MEANS TO IMPLEMENT SOCIAL OPPOSITION “THE NATIVE - THE OUTSIDER” IN THE POLITICAL DISCOURSE

Abstract. The article examines the opposition “the native - the outsider” as one of the basic means to influence the audience in the political discourse. The study focuses on analyzing the speeches of the 44th USA President Barack Obama devoted to Ukrainian military coup of 2014. The research task involves the study of linguistic means to realize the mentioned binary opposition, in particular, at the morphological, lexical, syntactical and stylistic levels.
